With so many vaccine options against Ery, it might seem a tough choice to make. One vaccine line stands out, though, when you look at the facts! Only Ingelvac^® from Boehringer Ingelheim offers single dose protection to market in either individual animal vaccination or group/mass vaccination form.

Options for group or individual vaccination

Ingelvac^® ERY-ALC is an avirulent live culture vaccine for group medication. Protective immunity lasts at least 128 days after vaccination. Ninety percent of animals were completely protected from challenge — no fevers, skin diamonds, or lameness. In control pigs, 50% of animals died at 184 days of age. Clear protection to market age!

Ingelvac^® HPE-1 is a combination with Haemophilus parasuis, with even longer protection, documented to protect 95% of pigs for at least 162 days after vaccination. Control pigs, at 27 weeks of age, suffered 46% mortality. Culture of these controls revealed 69% positive for the organism in tissues, setting these animals up for chronic problems like lameness and heart lesions.

No other vaccine can provide single dose protection with such long term, heavy challenge protection. Some products may provide similar duration of protection, but require two doses of injected vaccine with weaker challenge models.
